HAla Bira! Here are the list of the participating tribes in 2010 Dinagayang competition: Himal-us, Silak, Ilonganon, Tribu Aninipay, Paghidaet, Molave, Panagat, Pag-asa, Angola, Bantu, Atub-Atub, Panaad, Pan-ay, Bola-Bola, Salognon and Milagrosa. Dinagyang will be on January 24, 2010 where each tribe will battle for the crown.
Tribu Hamili and Himala was not able to register or did not register last November 30, deadline set by the City Tourism and Development Office (CTDO).According to Iloilo Dinagyang Foundation Inc. (IDFI) showed that these two tribes make a controversial decision after they for back out from the competition because of lack of financial assistance. performance rating is more important according to the dinagyang foundation not the budget or the financial support.
Tribu Paghidaet was declared champion during the ati competion last year. Tribu Bola-bola won the 1st place,Ilonganon second place and Tribu Silak landed 3rd place
Tribu Paghidaet recieved five of the seven special awards . The Best in Music, Best in Performance, Best in Headdress, Best in Choreography and Best in Costume. While, Tribu Atub-atub got the Best in Discipline award and Tribu Bola-Bola as Best in Street dance.
January 23 is also set for kasadyahan festival and the commitee will still planning to release the list of the final participants.
2009 Kasadyahan competition the champion the Tribu Kasag of the town of Banate. Tribu Saad of municipality of Leganes was the first placer, Tribu Madia-as of Mandurriao National High School, Tribu Bayluhay of the town of San Joaquin and Tribu Tultugan of the town of Maasin came 2nd, 3rd and 4th, respectively.
The Tribu Kasag got three of the five special awards, namely Best in Production Design, Best in Choregraphy and Best in Performance. Tribu Saad got the special award in the Best Street dancing while Tribu Bayluhay got the award for Best in Theme concept.
